Neuse Bend Joinery
Furniture built for generations.
My Services
At Neuse Bend Joinery, there is no assembly line and no mass production. Every piece that leaves the shop is designed, surfaced, and joined by a single pair of hands. I specialize in creating functional art that honors the natural character of the wood while meeting the specific needs of your home or business.
Custom Indoor Furniture
From heirloom dining tables to unique coffee tables and bedside stands, I build interior pieces designed to last generations. By focusing on traditional joinery techniques, I ensure that your custom, one-of-a kind piece of furniture is as structurally sound as it is beautiful.
Display Cases & Shadow Boxes
Whether it’s a family heirloom, a military tribute, or a retail showcase, I craft custom display cases that frame your most valued possessions. Each case is tailored to the specific dimensions and aesthetic of the item it holds.
Design & Consultation
Have an idea but not sure how to execute it? I offer collaborative design services. We’ll work together to select the right species of wood and a silhouette that fits your space. Since every project is one-of-a-kind, the design process is where your vision truly begins to take shape.
The One-Man Shop Advantage When you commission a piece from Neuse Bend Joinery, you are working directly with the maker. I am your designer and your craftsman. This ensures a level of detail and personal accountability that large manufacturers simply cannot match.
About Neuse Bend
Roots in the East
The story of Neuse Bend Joinery began almost three decades ago in the coastal plains of Eastern North Carolina. The shop’s name is a tribute to the winding Neuse River, where I first discovered the timeless character of the Southern landscape. It was there, at just 6 years old, that I picked up my first tools and began transforming scraps of wood into something meaningful.
What started as a childhood curiosity in the Carolinas has evolved into a lifelong pursuit of craftsmanship—a journey of nearly thirty years marked by constant growth, refined techniques, and a deepening respect for the natural beauty hidden within every grain.
Faith, Family, and Service
Today, my life is a balancing act of three great passions. I am currently serving on active duty in the United States Air Force, a career that demands the same discipline and precision I bring to my workbench.
But my most important "apprentices" are at home. Every piece I build is balanced with the joys of being a husband and a father to two daughters. Whether they are helping me sweep up sawdust or watching a project take shape, my family is the reason I strive for excellence. They remind me that the furniture I build isn't just an object—it’s the backdrop for someone else's family dinners, bedtime stories, and morning coffees.
The Neuse Bend Philosophy
Now based in Las Vegas, NV, I operate as a dedicated one-man shop. In a world of mass-produced, "flat-pack" furniture, I choose a different path. I believe that wood is a living medium that deserves respect, and my goal is to honor the history of the tree by creating "functional art" that lasts for generations.
Eastern NC Heritage: Founded on the values of Southern hospitality and honest, hard work.
The One-Man Advantage: You work directly with me—the designer and the maker. There is no middleman and no compromise on quality.
Heirloom Standard: I specialize in traditional joinery and hand-selected hardwoods, ensuring your investment stands the test of time.
